We started by preparing the soil and growing crops that are typical of the Albanian flora.
The experiments in the beginning were primarily with herbs and crucifers spending big part of our off-season with other farmers at numerous conferences learning and sharing knowledge and ways to add value to the rural areas of southern Albania.
Our farm is located in southern Albania, along the border with northern Greece.
The traditional livelihoods of fishing, farming, and forestry are still the mainstay for many families in the region. We exist in a largely resource-based economy with people living very close to the rhythms of the earth and its changing seasons.
The organic farming methods are applied during all the processes of the farm. The organic farming takes the best of “the ancient methods” and combines it with the modern scientific knowledge.
